Best TH11 hybrid base layouts for 2026. Eagle Artillery activation, Grand Warden coverage, and balanced resource compartments make one base work for war and multiplayer defense.
TH11 adds the Eagle Artillery and Grand Warden, giving you two new tools that serve hybrid purposes naturally. The Eagle Artillery activates early regardless of whether the attack is a war hit or a farming raid, and the Warden covers a radius that protects both resource compartments and the Town Hall core. A well-designed TH11 hybrid base places these two defenses so their natural radius covers both objectives simultaneously.
The Eagle Artillery activates after 150 housing space of troops deploy and fires on any position within its wide radius. Central placement means it fires on war attackers and farming attackers alike -- a Barch raid deploying 150 troops triggers it just as a GoWitch war attack does. Place it in the core, adjacent to the Dark Elixir Storage, so it covers the most valuable targets in both modes.
The Grand Warden defending on ground mode covers the widest ground radius from a central position. In a hybrid layout, position him so his radius covers both the Town Hall and the cluster of Gold and Elixir Storages in the second ring. Ground mode is better for farming defense than air mode because most farming attacks at TH11 use ground troops -- Giants, Wizards, Golems.
At TH11, group the three Gold Storages and three Elixir Storages in two clusters in the second ring, one cluster per side. This keeps them inside the Eagle Artillery radius for war purposes while placing them close enough to the outer ring that dedicated farming base users are not significantly disadvantaged. Dark Elixir stays in the core as always.

Does the Eagle Artillery help with farming defense at TH11?
Yes. It activates after 150 housing space of any troops deploy -- farming raids that use large armies trigger it just as war attacks do. Central placement makes it effective in both modes.
Should the Grand Warden be on ground or air mode in a TH11 hybrid base?
Ground mode. Most farming attacks at TH11 use Giants, Wizards, or Golems. Ground mode covers these plus the GoWitch war attacks that are most common at this level.
Where should Dark Elixir go in a TH11 hybrid base?
In the core, adjacent to the Eagle Artillery. This is the same position optimal for war defense, making DE placement genuinely dual-purpose at TH11.
Can a TH11 hybrid base compete in CWL?
At mid-tier CWL it performs adequately. For top-tier CWL, a dedicated war base with optimized Eagle Artillery timing is more reliable than a hybrid layout.
