Click the "Get Layout" button on any base card. This opens the Clash of Clans app and loads the layout directly into your base editor. Select an empty slot to save it. You need Clash of Clans installed on the same device for this to work.
What happens when I click "Get Layout"?
Clicking "Get Layout" opens a Clash of Clans deep link — a special URL that the game recognises and uses to automatically load the base layout into your editor. No manual copying or building required; the layout appears ready to place.
Why isn't the base link opening my game?
The most common causes are: Clash of Clans isn't installed on the device, your browser is blocking pop-ups (allow pop-ups for clashbaselinks.com in your browser settings), or you're trying to copy a base two or more Town Hall levels away from your own, which the game doesn't permit.
Can I use these base layouts on mobile and PC?
Yes. The base links work on iOS, Android, and the PC version of Clash of Clans. As long as the game is installed and you're logged into your account, tapping or clicking a link will load the base directly into your editor.
Do I need an account to use ClashBaseLinks?
No account needed. Browse, filter, and copy any base for free with no sign-up required. The only account you need is your existing Clash of Clans account to paste the layout into your game.
Are the base layouts on this site free?
Yes, completely free. Every base on ClashBaseLinks is community-submitted and free to copy into your game. There are no paywalls, subscriptions, or hidden costs.
How do I submit my own base to ClashBaseLinks?
Click "Submit Base" at the top of the page. You'll need your Clash of Clans copy link (found in-game under Edit Layout → Share → Copy Link), your Town Hall level, and the base type. All submissions are reviewed before going live to ensure quality.
How do I get my Clash of Clans base copy link?
In Clash of Clans, go to your village and tap Edit Layout. Tap the Share icon and select Copy Link. Paste that link into the ClashBaseLinks submission form. The link lets other players import your exact layout into their own game.
How long does it take for a submitted base to appear on the site?
Submissions are reviewed manually before publishing, typically within a few days. We check that the link is functional, the base design is solid, and it matches the listed Town Hall level and base type before approving it.
Can I submit a base I found online rather than one I built myself?
Only submit bases you built or have explicit permission to share. Reposting another player's or creator's base without credit isn't permitted. If you'd like to credit the original builder, include their name in the base title when submitting.

Base Types Explained
What is a war base in Clash of Clans?
A war base is designed for Clan Wars and CWL. The goal is to prevent attackers from getting 3 stars. War bases bury the Town Hall deep in the core, use heavy compartmentalization to split attacking troops, and spread traps throughout to disrupt funnels and waste attack time.
What is a trophy base in Clash of Clans?
A trophy base prioritises defending your trophy count. The Town Hall is well-protected since losing it costs trophies. Resource storages are sacrificed to the outside so attackers take them first, protecting your Town Hall and keeping your trophy count stable on the ladder.
What is a farming base in Clash of Clans?
A farming base protects your Gold, Elixir, and Dark Elixir rather than your Town Hall or trophies. The Town Hall is often placed near the edge so attackers take it quickly — sacrificing trophies — while your storages stay buried and well-defended for upgrade resources.
What is a hybrid base in Clash of Clans?
A hybrid base balances resource protection and trophy defense. It's designed to reasonably protect storages while also making 3 stars difficult. Ideal for players who want to protect loot without dropping too many trophies, without needing to switch between separate layouts.
What is an anti-3-star base?
An anti-3-star base is engineered to make a full 3-star attack as difficult as possible. These layouts use advanced compartmentalization, strategic trap placement, confusing troop pathing, and a protected Town Hall core to force attackers into time failures or partial destruction. Used primarily in wars and CWL.
What is CWL and what base should I use for it?
CWL (Clan War League) is a monthly competitive tournament where clans battle in a round-robin format. Every star matters, so use a strong anti-3-star war base specifically tuned for CWL. Our war base collection includes CWL-optimised layouts for every Town Hall level.
What's the difference between a war base and a trophy base?
Both aim to limit stars given up, but war bases are optimised for coordinated clan war attacks where opponents can scout your layout and plan. Trophy bases defend against random ladder attacks. War bases tend to have more precisely placed traps for countering specific strategies.
Should I use different bases for different situations?
Yes. Most experienced players keep separate layouts for war, trophy pushing, and farming. Clash of Clans lets you save multiple layouts simultaneously so you can switch between a war base during clan wars and a farming base while sleeping to protect your loot.
What is a Legend League base?
Legend League is the highest trophy league in Clash of Clans. Legend League bases must be extremely strong anti-3-star layouts since every defence matters for your daily trophy count. Players face coordinated attacks from top-level players, so base quality is critical.
What is a Clan Castle lure in base design?
A lure refers to attackers pulling your Clan Castle troops out to kill them away from the base. Good base design places the Clan Castle in the centre so it's difficult to lure, forcing attackers to engage with your CC troops deep inside the layout.

Copying & Compatibility
Can I copy a base that's a higher Town Hall level than mine?
You can copy a base up to one Town Hall level above your own, but buildings you haven't unlocked will be missing from the layout. Copying a base two or more Town Hall levels above yours is not permitted by the game at all.
Can I copy a base that's a lower Town Hall level than mine?
Yes, but it's not recommended. The layout won't include your newer, more powerful defences, leaving your base significantly weaker than it could be. Always copy bases designed for your exact Town Hall level for the best defensive results.
Why does the game show missing buildings when I paste a base?
This happens when the base was designed for a slightly different Town Hall level than yours. Buildings you haven't unlocked yet appear empty, and buildings from higher Town Halls won't appear. Copy bases matching your exact TH level for the best results.
Do base links expire?
Supercell can invalidate older base links through game updates, though this is uncommon. If a link stops working, it may have expired. If you find a broken link on ClashBaseLinks, let us know and we'll remove it from the directory promptly.
Can I save multiple base layouts in Clash of Clans?
Yes. Clash of Clans lets you save multiple village layouts simultaneously. This means you can have a war base, a farming base, and a trophy base saved at the same time and switch between them instantly depending on the situation.
What happens to obstacles when I copy a base?
If the original base had obstacles like trees or bushes in specific spots, and your village doesn't have those same obstacles, those buildings may appear in a placement queue. This is normal — just place them manually in the nearest available spot.
🧠
Strategy & Meta
How do I know which base is best for me?
Filter by your Town Hall level and your current need — War for clan wars, Trophy for ladder pushing, or Farming for resource protection. Sort by Most Downloaded to see what the community has had success with. Higher download counts mean more players have tested and trusted that layout.
What makes a good war base?
A good war base buries the Town Hall in the core, compartmentalises sections to split and contain troops, places traps strategically at common entry points, and positions the Clan Castle so it's hard to lure. It should be updated regularly to counter the current attack meta.
What makes a good farming base?
A good farming base keeps all three resource types — Gold, Elixir, and Dark Elixir — buried behind multiple layers of defence, while the Town Hall is more exposed. Attackers get the Town Hall quickly but must work hard to reach your loot.
What is the current attack meta in Clash of Clans in 2026?
As of 2026, dominant attack strategies include Root Rider armies at higher Town Halls, Dragon Rider combinations, Royal Champion Walk openings, and Super Witch blizzard attacks. Our base collection is curated specifically to counter these strategies at every Town Hall level.
What is a Root Rider and why does my base need to counter it?
Root Rider is a powerful troop unlocked at TH15 that burrows underground to target defences and is difficult to stop with conventional layouts. It dominated the attack meta throughout 2025–2026. The best modern bases use specific trap placements to disrupt Root Rider pathing.
What does anti-funnel mean in base design?
Funnelling is an attack technique where players direct troops into the centre of a base. An anti-funnel base design places defences and walls in ways that redirect troops away from the core or split them in unwanted directions, wasting the attacker's time and spells.
What is compartmentalization in base design?
Compartmentalization divides a base into separate walled sections rather than one open layout. Troops that break into one compartment are contained there and must break walls again to enter the next section, wasting time and preventing troops from spreading damage quickly across the base.
How often should I change my base layout?
For clan wars and CWL, many competitive players change their war base every few weeks or after a major game update that shifts the attack meta. For trophy and farming bases, changing monthly or after major updates keeps opponents from memorising your trap placements.
Do professional Clash of Clans players use base links?
Yes. Many professional and high-level players share their bases via links — some available here on ClashBaseLinks. Pro-designed bases offer layouts optimised through high-level competitive play, making them significantly stronger than self-designed layouts for most players.
What is the difference between a war base and a CWL base?
Functionally similar, but CWL bases are often tuned more aggressively for anti-3-star since every star counts toward your clan's CWL total. Regular war bases are also defensively optimised but may allow more flexibility since individual war attacks are sometimes less systematically planned.
