Best TH12 anti-air base designs for 2026. Scattershots on both air corridors, multi-mode Inferno for swarm control, and AD spread counter Dragon Rider and Electro Dragon attacks.
TH12 faces Dragon Rider attacks -- Dragons paired with Riders that dramatically boost Dragon DPS. Scattershots become the primary anti-air defense at TH12 because they fire at any air troop in range regardless of approach direction. An anti-air base at TH12 positions both Scattershots to cover the two most direct Dragon Rider approach corridors and uses one multi-mode Inferno to handle Dragon swarms while two single-mode Infernos handle high-HP Dragon Riders.
Both Scattershots at TH12 fire large splash projectiles that damage all air troops in the landing zone. A Dragon Rider combination flying through Scattershot coverage takes area damage that reduces the Dragon stack faster than individual AD targeting. Position Scattershots on opposite sides of the base so any Dragon Rider approach from any direction passes through at least one Scattershot coverage zone. Cross-fire from opposite Scattershots catches Dragon approaches that attempt to skirt one side.
At TH12 with three Infernos available, a one multi / two single configuration handles both Dragon Rider threats simultaneously. The single multi-mode Inferno fires on all air troops in range -- effective against Dragon swarms clustered together. The two single-mode Infernos lock onto individual Dragon Riders and eliminate them before the Rider boost amplifies Dragon DPS further. Position the multi-mode Inferno centrally to cover the widest swarm zone, and flank it with single-mode Infernos targeting Riders specifically.
Four Air Defenses at TH12 (five with the one inside the Giga Tesla-equivalent zone) should maintain the triangle spread principle: no two ADs within double Lightning Spell range. The fourth AD at TH12 should sit inside the innermost compartment ring, serving as a last-line air defense that engages air troops who penetrate through the Scattershot and outer-ring coverage.

What air attacks dominate at TH12?
Dragon Rider (Dragons boosted by Riders for massive DPS), EDrag funnels, and ZapLaLoon. Dragon Rider is the highest-threat air attack at TH12.
How do Scattershots counter Dragon Rider attacks at TH12?
Scattershots fire splash projectiles at air troops, dealing area damage to clustered Dragon Rider stacks. Cross-fire from both Scattershots means no approach direction avoids coverage.
What is the best Inferno mode mix for TH12 anti-air defense?
One multi-mode Inferno for Dragon swarm coverage and two single-mode Infernos for Dragon Rider elimination. Multi fires on swarms; single burns high-HP individual Riders.
How many Air Defenses does TH12 have and where should they go?
TH12 has four Air Defenses. Keep them in a square or triangle formation with no two within double Lightning Spell range. The innermost AD serves as last-line air defense inside the core.
